In A MOST WANTED MAN, a rogue German counter-terrorism expert, Gunter Bachmann (Academy Award-winner Philip Seymour Hoffman), interrogates human rights lawyer Annabel Richter (Rachel McAdams) on the whereabouts of her half-Chechen, half-Russian immigrant client, who may or may not be part a militant jihadist group in post-9/11 Hamburg. Anton Corbijn (CONTROL; THE AMERICAN) directs the adaptation of John le Carré’s 2008 best-selling novel, adapted for the screen by Andrew Bovell (LANTANA). A MOST WANTED MAN, also starring Willem Dafoe and Robin Wright, had its world premiere on Sunday at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival. Lionsgate/Roadside Attractions will release later this year.
