10 Rules For Sleeping Around – They Should Have Known Better
10 rules for sleeping around
Starring: Wendi McLendon-Covey, , Tammin Sursok, , Chris Marquette
Director: Leslie Greif
A premise so unoriginal and done so many times before that you might think you stepped into a time warp and travelled to the age crimped hair, neon and VHS tapes. 10 rules is completely banal lacking any element of enjoyment. The entertainment factor is not bolstered by Bill Bellamy or even Michael McKean in fact no amount of Bryan Callen Machismo can save this sinking ship.

Somewhere in this dreck are two couples who are good friends one couple takes advice from the other who have an open relationship that rests on these specific 10 rules. Both couples through crazy shenanigans end up in the Hamptons. There is mistaken identity, a gay dog, an underage booty call and a straight party planner who is posing as being gay.

The sad part is that the supporting cast isn’t bad, you have established comedians that should know better. The material isn’t raunchy enough, fresh enough or funny enough to be enjoyable. I hope nobody was paid to participate in this if so they warrant the black mark that will be on their resumes forever.

This isn’t even bad enough to be campy/funny ala showgirls or glitter it’s just bad. Then again I am not sure what I expected when the Writer/Director’s claim to fame was writing episodes of Walker Texas Ranger.

Watching this stole a small piece of my soul and a larger amount of my time. This would have been a terrible film twenty years ago and is even worse being delivered in contemporary 2014.
