Star-Studded Crime Drama Hits All the Right Notes as Tenth Edition Draws to a Close
Dubai, December 14th, 2013: The landmark tenth edition of the Dubai International Film Festival’s (DIFF) closing night featured the Red Carpet Gala screening of “American Hustle”, directed by David O. Russell (‘Three Kings’, ‘Silver Linings Playbook’). The highly anticipated film leads the nominations alongside Steve McQueen’s “12 Years A Slave”, both receiving seven nominations in the upcoming 71st annual Golden Globes. The star-studded drama is set in the late 1970s, and stars Christian Bale as a brilliant con artist who is drawn into a scheme by the FBI to catch a group of corrupt politicians. Bradley Cooper, Amy Adams, and Jennifer Lawrence also star.
DIFF is the first festival to screen David O Russell’s “American Hustle”.
The film was produced by Megan Ellison’s Annapurna and Charles (Chuck) Roven’s Atlas.
Italia Films will release the film in the Middle East.
