Park City, UT, January 19–On Saturday night January 18th, the Supper Suite by STK sponsored by Dobel Tequila and Johndrow Vineyards, was proud to host the Creative Coalition’s annual Spotlight Initiative Awards Gala, as well Sundance film premiere events for Lenny Abrahamson’s FRANK and Jonathan Milott & Cary Murnion’s COOTIES.

Next up was The Creative Coalition’s annual Spotlight Initiative Awards Gala, which lit up the Supper Suite by STK with attendance by honorees, hosts, presenters, and invited guests and they dined on a fantastic menu by The ONE Group’s executive chef Liran Mezan.

Celebrity guests and honorees included: Emile Hirsch, Cheryl Hines, Josh Gad, Rose McGowan, Jonathan Pryce, Randall Emmett, David Wain, Rory Kennedy, Tim Daly, Robert Kennedy Jr., Evan Handler, Lea Thompson, Miles Teller, Alia Shawkat, Allie Grant, Richard Kind, Richard Schiff, Cameron Monaghan, Mike Cahill and John Carroll Lynch.

Some highlights of the evening included: Rose McGowan accepted her award proudly dressed, as she said, like Rosie the Riveter. Her explanation for the outfit? “Bad Hair.” TCC CEO Robin Bronk promised a rollicking, informal awards ceremony and she delivered. The prestigious awards came in cardboard boxes; presenters changed on the fly and show order was loose. The crowd was regaled by Ariana DiLorenzo of Ariana and the Rose—the actress/singer/dj is going to perform at Sunday’s events as well.

To conclude the evening’s festivities, The Supper Suite by STK and sponsored by Dobel Tequila and Johndrow Vineyards, hosted a cocktail reception for Park City at Midnight entry COOTIES, which featured a special reprise DJ performance by recording artist, Ariana & The Rose (www.arianaandtherose.com)

COOTIES cast members, Elijah Wood, Alison Pill, Rainn Wilson, Leigh Whannell, Jack McBrayer, Jorge Garcia, Kate Flannery, Directors Jonathan Milott & Cary Murnion, writer Ian Brennan and singer Ariana DiLorenzo, along with guests Chris O’Dowd, star of Sundance Premiere section entry CALVARY.

Some highlights of the evening included: Jorge Garcia, Jack McBrayer, and Alison Pill posed for selfies on a banquette. Ironically, Patron owner and producer John Paul De Joria visited the event. He may have even sampled his competitor’s tequila! Chris O’Dowd (IT Crowd, Family Tree, Girls) attended in hopes of meeting the cast and getting into the 12:45AM screening of COOTIES (he didn’t) no word yet on whether he ever saw the movie.
