The central heroine, Eva (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), a woman, who is still a girl at heart, could have been full of vital energy and enthusiasm. But there is a horrifying divorce she went though not long before the story of Enough Said starts. Eva stands on the threshold of despair, frantic, empty. Her beloved daughter left home to start her studies at college, all Eva’s friends pity her, and now her job as a masseuse and her memories are her only consolation.
Candidly speaking, the Enough Said movie is composed of classical Hollywood clichés, but it makes the movie only more poignant, charming and warm. So in the moment of hopelessness and misery Eva has to suddenly find her way back with an unexpected flash of light. Eva receives an invitation to a dreary party, which she is hesitant to go to, but eventually she arrives to her destiny. No one could have predicted that this would be the night Eva will meet Albert, her second chance to live and to love. One could say that nothing special happens during that party, but a true romantic will see, that a love was born that evening. All the way through their dialogue they find themselves closer and closer, like they have known each other for a lifetime. Both of them are divorced, both of them suffer from loneliness, and both of them are ardent to find a sense to live, so they are looking for someone to love. A tender connection begins to widen, and that is the perfect time for yet another one cliché. Every romantic comedy is built on a certain plot twist, which is necessary for love to defeat it and to become even more majestic. Eva accidently finds out that one of her best friends, who have been complaining about her awful ex-husband all the time, was actually complaining about Albert. Eva is confused, she does not know, what and who to believe, and she starts to doubt whether her choice to the second chance was right.
Nonetheless, Enough Said movie is meant to bring hope that love will triumph over whatever misunderstanding, difficulty or obstacle.
