The Heat is coming!

There are so many films about male police officers that you cannot even remember all at once. But you must admit that you have never seen before a movie, where the hapless buddies are female. After watching The Heat trailer it becomes clear that this is a unique instance of quality comedy about cop buddies, which is even capable of something to surprise experienced viewer. is funny, sharp, sassy, rude and harsh, but at the same time very warm and gentle. And so should be a movie about strong but tender women.

In Boston a drug baron traces his illegal activities, terrorizing the neighborhood. In The Heat trailer we see how an incredibly boring, smug and pedantic FBI agent Sarah Ashburn (Sandra Bullock) is assigned to find and neutralize this drug lord. However, things are not so simple, and the notorious professionalism and commitment to the rules this time will turn out to be unable to help the arrogant Ashburn. Her fate tricks her, and she has to take in companions a local detective from the police department of Boston, Shannon Mullins (Melissa McCarthy). And everything would have happened as well as possible, if detective Mullins was not a brash and cocky twerp with a street smarts and deeply personal views on how to catch the criminal and clear the streets of her neighborhood from drugs. For the successful completion of the task two totally different keepers of the law need to come together and overcome their differences among themselves to strive towards a larger goal and to set the criminals’ asses on fire.

Sandra Bullock, apparently, just lately realized that she was born for comic images. Her character looks incredibly funny and absurd, but at the same time incredibly organic. Although The Heat trailer does not show half the funniest moments of the film, the viewer creates the distinct impression that he had just saw the trailer of the funniest cop movie ever. Bright, hot, bold and reckless, Bullock and McCarthy make a great duet by maintaining their blatant conflict of resonance and humor, and even some dramatic moments.

The Heat is definitely hot in every way. But one single characteristic distinguishes its’ excellence more than others. Even in The Heat trailer it shows that this is a hot comedy about two wild chicks who crush Boston simply because they are capable of doing that. It is a smart and touching comedy about the right things, presented in the most unusual way and generously spiced with so many swear words that sometimes you freeze and feel yourself amazed by the wealth of English language.
