Movietrap, a new app to manage your watchlist
23 April 2013: Aprilred, a digital agency based in Romania, is planning to launch Movietrap, a free app to organize and share your list of movies. In contrast with other watchlist apps, Movietrap is going to focus on speed and ease of use, so people can spend less time organizing their list and more time enjoying motion pictures. Users will be able to search for movies, add them to their watchlist, mark them as seen and recommend them to their friends. There will also be a backup/restore option, which will save the list to the cloud and restore it upon request.
“We are building Movietrap for people who simply want an app to manage their movie watchlist, without all the bells and whistles. Here at the office we love movies and are also into apps, but were having a hard time finding one that meets our title organizing and sharing needs. So the idea for Movietrap was born.“ – said Tamás Olasz, co-founder and creative director at Aprilred. People will be able to download the app on www.movietrap.net starting the 31st of May at noon (GMT) or earlier: because each person who signs up to be notified at launch, automatically brings the release date 20 seconds closer.
Movietrap will be initially released to the Google Play store, but the team is planning to create an iOS version as well, depending on the success of the app.
