PHASE 4 FILMS ACQUIRES CANADIAN RIGHTS TO THE VLADAR COMPANY’S THEATRICAL HIT ‘GENERATION IRON’

 
 
(March 25, 2014) – Phase 4 Films and The Vladar Company today announced that the Mickey Rourke narrated box office hit, docudrama Generation Iron, will extend its reach into the Canadian market in summer 2014.  The film first premiered in on September 20, 2013, quickly making it one of the top 6 highest grossing documentaries at the box office that year. Phase 4 Films will release Generation Iron on DVD, On Demand and Digital Download.

Generation Iron follows the world’s leading bodybuilders as they train and compete for the coveted Mr. Olympia title.  The film gives front row access to the lives of the top 7 bodybuilders in the sport, including Phil Heath, Kai Greene, Branch Warren and . Mickey Rourke narrates the film, with appearances by Arnold Schwarzenegger, Lou Ferrigno and Jay Cutler.  It is produced by Vlad Yudin and Edwin Mejia. Jerome Gary, producer of the cult classic “.” which helped make Arnold Schwarzenegger a household name, is executive producer along with David Pecker, Robin Chang and Eric Weider.
The deal was negotiated by producer Edwin Mejia, for The Vladar Company and Jessica Labi for Phase 4 Films.
