Six friends head out to a lake for a high school graduation party, when they get stranded   In their row boat in the middle of the lake they must decide who gets voted out of the boat sacrificing themselves as human bait to create a diversion.

For some unforeseen reason Johnny decides to offer up his families lakeside retreat knowing that a giant man eating fish roams the waters. After being introduced to the “friends” you almost want to thank him. These are six people who have absolutely nothing in common besides being completely insufferable people. There is not a redeemable person amongst them. I have never seen a group of friends with such a lack of chemistry and comradery assembled on film. This group is so completely worthless that you are rooting for the giant fish to kill every one of them without mercy post haste.

All logic is thrown out the window with the first sight of the super fish, If your idea of scary is the bastardized offspring of an Angler fish and a “big mouth billy bass” toy, you will rejoice, the rest of us are left scratching our head at how pathetic it is.

At one point for some ridiculous reason an oar gets sacrificed thinking it’s going to stop the giant beast, leading to many a scene of a broken oar serving as an improvised shark fin traversing the water. It’s neither scary nor absurd enough to be kitschy or campy ala Syfy channel movies. Quickly this group of friends wants to off each other for the benefit of themselves. Taking votes like its big brother or survivor. These people are so stupid they reach out over the water after they have seen the giant fish maul one of them to death.

The best part of the entire film is the quality of the poster art. Void of tension, thrills, chills, scares and enjoyment, the  only  saving grace is watching these worthless humans die one by one  and even that isn’t very rewarding.
