Jefferies like other great comedians is a polarizing figure with subject matter that is sure to offend, yet spun in such a way that you will find yourself laughing at even the most sacred of subjects. Being Australian provides certain language liberties that a yank just can’t pull off particularly Jefferies liberal usage of the most underused word in our parts the aforementioned gem… cunt. If you can pull off the accent I suggest adding it to your verbal repertoire it rolls of the tongue nicely. Nothing is off limits from a story of a celebrity getting a bit “Rapey” with some fans to jockeying for armrest space with a big black homosexual on an airplane to stupidity and religion. It’s his signature bit on what it would be like if God went to a party that smashes religious hypocrisy in a way that few could pull off.
The greatness of Jefferies is his delivery the guy could literally deliver fake eyebrows to burn victims and get a laugh out of them. Jefferies is one of the top 5 comedians working today and proves it during this hour long set. Manipulating the audience to run the gamut of emotion it takes a real talent to offend, while simultaneously making a person laugh and think.
