FILM REVIEW: LIFE TRACKER – The Concept Is Better Than The Exectuion
Life Tracker
Starring: Matt Dallas, ,
Director: Joe McClean
Dillon lacks the ability to finish anything he has ever started. When he stumbles upon a small yet profound news story about a company that calls itself Life Tracker Limited, who claims they can analyze a person’s DNA and predict their future. Dillon sees this as an opportunity to film a documentary and finally finish something.

Shot like a found footage film Life Tracker delves into the concept of getting your DNA read and the repercussions of knowing your future in spite of the accuracy, Relationships change when a worldwide doomsday is announced and the few people that are predicted to survive become pariahs of civilization known as the Chosens. Dillon and his two friends Bell (Rebecca Marshall) and Scott (Matt Dallas) all get there DNA read and take part in the filming of the documentary. Over the course of the documentary we see how their reading results have altered their future.

The concept is intriguing yet fails to gain enough momentum for the entire run time. This is a film that given a higher budget and some better actors could be something special. It really didn’t need to be a found footage film; of particular irritation is the way the film ends. You can’t make a found footage film if there is no way for people to watch the footage.

Concept is great the execution is lacking
Grade – 69
