The Way To Have A Perfect Holiday Season

With November coming to a quick close that means one thing, the holidays are in full swing. I don’t know about you but if there is one thing I have grown sickened of it is watching television ads about the fancy car with the giant red bow, or seeing the expensive jewelry purchased in the familiar light blue box. That is old hat, that’s the marketing machine selling you an inaccurate interpretation of reality, most of all it is just flat out unoriginal.

Anybody can copy what they see in an ad and try to buy someone’s love, but what does that show about their taste or character. It shows they are Sheep, Cows or Lemmings they follow the heard of what they think a woman wants. And what a woman wants is confidence, originality, sophistication and class.

Even worse is when a friend of mine who I will call James (That is his real name, I am not witness relocation, I will not protect his identity), He uses the holidays to show off his latest material acquisitions. A man of my taste and stature does not use the Holidays to show off I stopped that a long time ago.  If I want something I am not going to wait for the Holidays. I use the Holidays to spend time with family and friends enjoy good company and a good cocktail. I revel in a time where the country had class where, people were free thinking and original.

So when Christmas parties start and James is running his mouth about the latest expensive toy he has added to his collections or what he plans to buy the latest girl he is trying to land. That is when I walk into the room with my bottle of Dobel. How can I do that, is it a superpower that I possess? No it’s because I don’t drink cheap liquor. There is a reason it’s not 9.99 for a fifth. When you drink cheap tequila you might not pay the price monetarily but the next morning you most certainly will pay the price.
